Guccio Giovanbattista Giacinto Dario Maria Gucci was born in the year 1881, in Florence, Italy. He was the first among his family to move from Florence to France and then to London in search of a job. He then landed a job in the Savoy Hotel in London in the year 1897, where he was a bellhop.
